Landscape near Calvinet III
Oil painting on paper mounted on board of the landscape near Calvinet in the Cantal of the Auvergne region in south-central France.
In the early 1990s at the invitation of Atkins Fine Art, I lived and painted the landscapes of France, noted for their vast areas of open spaces and golden sunlight. Every few years since then I return to absorb the beauty of the land.
I did this oil painting on 15-inch x 22-inch paper. The painting is mounted on board with a wood strip frame 15.5-inch high x 22.5-inch wide x 1.125-inch deep.
The work is wired ready for hanging and signed in the lower right corner and dated on the back.
