Clouds and Ocean at Normandy
Oil painting of the clouds over the ocean at Normandy Beach, France.
When traveling to Normandy, my impression was of a sky and ocean with the most beautiful and ever-changing light I had ever seen. The light and colors of the sky seemed to skip along the water. Besides the intense light, the sky was ever-changing.
Using oil paint, I painted this seascape scene on a 48-inch-high x 30-inch-wide canvas on a 1.5-inch-deep stretcher frame. The sides of the canvas are painted, and it is ready for hanging. The painting is signed and dated on the back (2016).
