Oil painting of the landscape near Calvinet in the Cantal of the Auvergne region in south-central France.
At two different times during the 1990s, I lived in France and painted its landscapes noted for their vast areas of open spaces and golden sunlight. Since then, I return every few years to absorb the beauty of the land and become inspired to paint 22-inch-wide/p>
I did this oil painting on 15-inch-high x 22-inch-wide painting paper. The painting is mounted on a board and has a wood strip frame 15.5-inch-high x 22.5-inch-wide x 1.125-inch deep.
The painting is wired ready for hanging and is signed and dated on the back.
