Landscape in Le Fel #1
Oil pastel of the landscape at Le Fel, Midi-Pyrenees, in the beautiful countryside of the Aveyron in southern France.
At two separate times during the 1990s, I lived in the southern part of France and painted its landscapes, noted for their vast areas of open spaces and golden sunlight. Every few years since then I return to absorb the beauty of the land.
I did this oil pastel on 22-inch x 30-inch acid-free age-resistant 100% cotton 140 lb. oil paper.
The painting is signed in the lower right corner and is dated on the back (2015).
